This sounds like malpractice to me. It doesn't sound like she was in distress at ALL, and this vet should not be practicing:irk: I'm not even a breeder, but all the stuff I've read over the years, this is just WRONG

Hopefully the rest will be okay, but I'd definitely find a new vet NOW. JMHO.
