Wow, sounds to me like he jumped the gun on that one. I've heard of mom miscarrying one pup and carrying the rest to term. That may have been what was going on here. She may not have gone into labor yet because it just wasn't time. Sometimes it's best not to second guess mother nature. I hope she delivers the rest with no trouble.
