My female had 6 also and a section (first pup was sideways blocking the train for the rest) I did not think she had much milk either but all the babes gained.
Her bag was always small and never full,we did supplement them.She did not have time to fill her bag for they kept depleting it as fast as she could make it.Her milk did pick up but it took her a couple of weeks.
Ours were tiny and 1-2 ccs was plenty for them and filled thier tummys.
I used a bottle and cut a crisscross in the top (or my vet did).They had to suck to get it out but not a fast flow (like when you use a needle and make a hole) for they can aspirate and you do not want that.I would not use a dropper or syringe.I would rather tube them ,faster and safer if they cannot suck well yet.
I have one that likes to suck on my finger yet and they are 8 weeks. |
