Oh My....I haven't had a problem with my yorkies doing this, but we did have a Chihuahua that did this very bad. He would growl and snap when either of my two kids would come near me. He bit my daughter so hard one day when she climbed up on the couch by me while he was in my lap, that it drew blood. We tried to discipline him, but it never seemed to work. I think becuase I let it go on for too long before I started. We ended up giving him to one of our best friends who was a single guy after he drew blood on my little girl. He really loves him and the get along great (he brings him over to play every now and then). The funny thing is that he does sometimes use his possessiveness to chase away unwanted girlfriends. LOL.

I'm sure if you start early and are persistent, you can get your baby to stop doing it. My advice would be to scold him and put him in his crate right away when he does this to let him know it is unacceptable.
