Yes - Luxating Patella's (LP) are very common. Both mine have it. Roxy has had surgery to correct it. TJ is not that bad, but we have him checked every 3 months, if his gets bad, he will have surgery.

There are 4 Grades of LP (Grade 3 and 4) are really bad and should have surgery. Keep in mind LP does not get better on its own and will only get worse over time. When the patella (knee) keeps luxating (sliding in and out of its groove) the cartiledge there wears away - that can never be replaced, so later in life this can start to hurt, cause arthritis or complete lamness

Just watch for any limping, carring her leg or a weird skip like walk or run. These are all signs that the knee cap is 'out'.
