My dogs do not chew them and they really do love blankets as much as I do. I have a bunch of them all over the house and I actually got a new one yesterday! I find them very practical for many reasons:
1) soft, warm and cozy and easy to wash
2) instead of washing your dog's bed over and over, put a blanket it on it so you can wash the blanket easier and wash the bed less (this is especially a good thing to do if you have a big dog too)
3) Its great for travel, to put in carriers for winter, strollers, car seats, crates etc.
4) I actually take a blanket with me everytime I go to the groomer and I leave it with Chloe so she can feel more secure and the groomer likes that I do this
