How is momma, wish I would of been on here last night,She very well could have eclmapsia or may be hot ,the problem with her legs may be related to eclampsia. They can get very weak and wobbley and stagger!I would ask my vet for a calcium supplement being she had that many pups. We had 6 pups also and momma did have limping on her hind legs also (but before she had the pups),my vet thought because of how the pups were laying ,After a few days she was fine.
Tums did not work for me I always get the supplement from my vet, seems to work better, and she needs a good supplement with that many babies.
Did she have a fever? Usually when they have eclampsia they do not drink or eat.
Mine would pant when she had to go outside and when she was hungry (she has never did this with any other litter)
If I am ever uncomfotable with something I always call my vet no matter what time of day or night it is,he is on call 24/7 and would rahter have me call then have a major problem and not call.
I hope all is well today with her?
