I started putting a bow in Lacy's hair when I got her at 11weeks and she's never really tried to take it out. She's always been so good about being still and letting me put one in (even as a baby). She knows she's not supposed to mess up her hair. When she doesn't have any clothes on and no bow in her hair she'll rub her face against the carpet and roll around on her back, but she NEVER does that when dressed. I think she knows it's okay to mess up her hair when naked but not when she has clothes on. She's really good about clothes and bows.
