It's a lot cheaper in the long run to invest in a clipper and couple of extra blades and groom at home. Also keep in mind that groomers do have a lot of dogs going in and out and kennel cough is possible, along with other viruses and fleas.
Gosh I hate to sound so negative, BUT I've heard too many terrible stories already.
