I think we ALL go through these thoughts of whether a dog is right for us when we first get a dog. I clearly remember it....all the work poured in initially when we took Zoe home.....after a long day of work. Sometimes it was fustrating and tiring. Now that she is properly trained to live with us, there's less 'work' and more ''fun'. She is well behaved, understand when we communicate key pharases and she is SUCH a joy to have around. As everyone else mentions, work on training them...get a professional trainer to help you...take them to a puppy class...it's not too expensive if you do group training. On the other hand, dogs/pets are not for everyone. Good luck!
