 Yorkie in heat
I really could use some advice on my female Yorkie. I am having trouble finding any good literature on breeding my female. I have a few breeders that have given me some information. My female is 1 year and has started bleeding. We wanted to breed her with our male who seems to be more than ready! I am concerned with the weight issue. She is 5.5 and he is 9.5. Two different breeders said that was fine. My male (Winston) came from a 7 lb mom and 11 lb dad. Other people have mentioned Yorkie females usually have to have c-sections.
Could anyone help answer some questions? Where can I find good literature Fast! Does anyone have opinions on the weight issue. I don't want to take a chance on her getting in trouble and jeopardizing her life. We love our Yorkies and would love to have a few more playing around in our house.
