Oh, that is a perfect size! There is really no point in getting an x-pen if your crate is the same size as an x-pen would be. I think when people were bashing the crate, they were thinking it was a tiny crate! I trained BOTH of my yorkies in a large crate with bed and food in one end and pee pad in the other, the same way you're doing with Tanner. I would really look into the pee (wee wee) pads. Do you keep water and food in there and toys?
