All my dogs are This Time line bred with very strong Pastoral and Firacres. I've also seen it in other lines, not in every bitch but in some. It happened on my first female show dog and I went into a tizzy. She was 10 months old and already pointed. I was freaking cause I thought I wouldn't be able to finish her. Now mind you she has a dead level topline to this day. But, every time she goes into Season, she mentally goes wacko and her topline goes off.
