Thanks for posting this...It sounds kind of similar to myelomalacia...I lost my dog to this several yrs ago...It was sooo sad...He jumped up and kind of fell over, and lost complete use of his back legs within one day...We took him to the university vet and they ran all kinds of tests. But with his condition, he had lost all movement up to his neck by the next day. And the vet said that he was in excruciating pain. They said that the kind of myelomalacia that he had was not operable and it was the worst kind...It was sooooooo horrific. It's congenital disease from what I understand that could or could not come up. It just took one "off" landing to make the disc basically rupture and the disease to take over.
