I had the same problem with Lily. I actually thought about using a sock too.

I finally found a couple of dresses made by eastside collection in an XXS that would fit her. I also found a dress by SimpyDog on ebay in a XXS that fit her. Here she is in the two dresses from eastside. I think that she was about 1.5 lbs at the time. Do a search on ebay for XXS or XXXS dog apparel.
