Winston seems to have separation anxiety. Search it out. I think someone had tried while at home to put the dog in the room and leave him for x amount of time and return back so the dog could see that he/she would return. They kept increasing the time increment until the pup got used to it. You can also try leaving on a tv or radio on low so they can hear the voices.
