I'm having a real problem with my puppy barking when I leave the house for work. My roommate is home and has to deal with the dog barking for hours.
He seemed to be getting better. Yesterday when I left he barked for a bit then just went to sleep, but he was barking for a couple hours this morning.
I have no idea what to do.
We've been putting him in his playpen while we're home and telling him "NO BARK" when he barks, and praising him with treats when he's silent. He'll whine and bit and bark here & there when we're around, but when we leave, all bets are off and he goes nuts.
What on earth do I do
