Archie's teeth started falling out when he was about 6 or 7 months old, but it all happened so fast. In a matter of weeks, his teeth were gone and new ones grew back. I would guess that Mia is tugging and chewing because it helps her with the teething. It's also a tough time for them...trying to get Archie to eat, etc. during the time he was teething was harder than any other time. It was harder to regulate his eating and thus predict when he had to go to the bathroom...now, he tells me when it's time! I'm not sure if the little ones in the front fall out or not. The thing is, a lot of times when the tooth is too little, they have a tendency to just swallow them so you won't notice when they fall out. Then, just like that, new teeth appear. I taught Archie the "come" command by playing hide-and-seek with him. At first, I was a few feet in front of him and called out and praised him when he came. Then, I'd hide a little and then call out "Come here, Archie!" and when he found me, I'd give him a lot of praise, and sometimes treats. I did this for like 10 minutes at night for about two nights, moving into different rooms and then he got it! The thing is not to overdo it, though, or else it will have a negative association. Just a few minutes during a quiet time is enough, and lots of praise, of course!!
