Oh yes, we are definitely having June bug issues right now and I have to say I HATE this time of the year because of them. We can not go out on our porch without getting attacked by them! I can handle all kinds of bugs but those things with their tickly legs really freak me out when they get on me. In fact, a couple nights ago our youngest daughter came running in our bedroom because after laying in bed for about 10 minutes, she felt a June bug crawling IN her nightgown! She had gone out on the porch right before going to bed to tell the cats good night and one had attached to her without her knowing! Uck!!
Our dogs like chasing them but I don't think they eat them. The little kitten that we are baby-sitting for my MIL is having a ball trying to catch them! I think the only reason the dog would throw up after eating them is because they ate too many. They aren't poisonous or anything.
And no, they are nothing like roaches but they are very annoying!!
