so far I have used mine when we went on the boat (I was carrying a lot of stuff and there were a lot of people, didn't want her to get stepped on) and she also used it on the boat to go and take little naps on. I also use mine when we go to places like the flea market or town festivals or fairs that we have. just so she doesn't get stepped on with all the people around. I let her walk a lot, but when we are going through congested areas, I put her in her carrier so she isn't scared....and so I know she is safe.
