I would NOT attend classes with this instructor. First, she obviously doesn't understand the danger involved with collars and Yorkies and second, it's also quite apparent that she uses punishment-based methods.

Look for a trainer who uses positive methods only. Yorkies respond extremely well to positive methods.

I'm sorry it isn't working out for you. I am sure that you were excited about starting classes (and good for you, for signing up and getting off the "procrastination wagon"!). Please, though, don't let your disappointment lead you into a class that might make things worse rather than better. Okay?

I hope you can find someone else soon while you've got the motivation!
