I used to have the Outward Hound car seat for Tobi, but we got rid of it because he either LOVED it or HATED it. We couldn't figure him out..he just would NOT stop barking and jumping around, so we got a crate for him. We use this crate mainly for travel...he doesn't sleep in it as he sleeps in his x-pen. Tobi didn't like traveling in the crate at first, but after his 2nd time in the crate he seems to enjoy it now.
