works great and I hook leash to wire(wrapped to make shorter so can't jump out,(though he has never tried) and I bought a cheap little ferret bed and fitted in the basket, its padded and I add a baby receiving blanket in the bottom, it works great and I have been using it for the last 3 yrs with my dogs. The best part is that I can wash the bed and blanket with no problem. Its very inexpensive and the dogs love it.
