This is the case for me. The few Yorkies I've seen with full tails had scraggly hair and just looked messy and unfinished. But your babies (Sweetr and YorkieMom) looks AWESOME. Their tail hair is nice and poofy, not flat and dull like on the Yorkies I've seen. Maybe it's not the tail ... maybe it's the way the owner takes care of the hair there.
I believe the good looking tails do require some work because my boy Codie (he's a Maltese) has a long tail that curls like a little piggy over his butt ... it's so adorable.
And I have to keep the hair combed and well groomed, not use too much conditioner on the tail and I blow it dry with a round brush to get it looking full and poofy. It also is layered lolol Hubby says I'm nuts but I love having his tail look perfect!
