Just wanted to say HI! We adopted our Yorkie, "Winston" 6 weeks ago from a rescue organization. Although my husband and I are experience dog owners, we have never had a terrier (or a Yorkie). Yorkie Talk has been extremely helpful. By reading the postings we got many good tips on effective training techniques (like water bottles...who knew!). Thank you to ALL OF YOU!

Winston is 1-1/2 years old and has a hereditary hair follical abnormality called color dulation alopecia. This means that his blue gray hairs do not grow normally, they are just short fuzzies. My vet says that the hair will never grow in, there is nothing that can be done.

Has anyone ever had any experience with this condition? It supposedly effects Yorkshire Terriers and other breeds like Dobermans.
