Hi Everyone,

Last night I purchased a AKC 10 month old female yorkie that needs some attention to her coat. She's a pretty big girl...I think she weighs between 6 and 8 pounds... The people loved her but didnt have time to take care of her coat. She's matted everywhere but its the small little matts close to the skin. I hate to have a groomer shave her down... I have picks and tools here at my house to use to get the mats hopefully...problem is I don't want to tug on her fur.....is there any tool that can get close to the skin without pulling and tugging the mats? I want to bathe her but not until I get these mats out!

Another question I have is her ears are floppyand will only stay up when she tilts her head...is it possible with her age to brace them and actually have them up?
