I have put it on her before but just let her pull it around and she seems annoyed but when I finally picked it up WWAAAHHHH. So I just let her be. I have only had her since Fri and I don't want to traumatize her. I did get some treats and say 'look' and treat her when she did.
Any suggestions?? Showing looks like fun...but....
I guess it's just harder when you have no real clue what you are doing or if it is right
I feel for you Lita!!!!
Are you asking for conformatin classes? Where in California do you live. Contact the closest Yorkie club for assistance in handling classes. I'm a show breeder, but new to the California area, so I'm not familiar with handling classes here.

It's a bit too soon to begin her training. You need to let her settle in and bond with you first. Give her a couple of weeks. Start with putting a large light weight rubber band on her neck to let her get the feel of something around her neck. When you put the lead on her let her drag it around the house with you keeping a close eye on her. Then pick it up and let her lead you around before making her do what you want her to do.
