I personally don't think it is safe to leave a Yorkie unattended with a collar on. Gracie only wears hers with tags on it when we go out for a walk. She also uses a harness for her leash. She is micro chipped. There are little tag silencers that you can buy to stop the tag noise. I have so many tags on Gracie that she does not jingle at all!
