This whole year my mother has been in and out of the hospital so she has been at out of work and at home everyday. Today while I was at work, someone rang the door bell and my mother opened the door while Killer(my 7 month old dog) ran out.. usually he just runs out and runs around the person at the door.. but my next door neighbor happened to be outside walking her dog so he ran to the dog and kinda jumped at him... like he does to any dog he sees wanting to play. My mother ran after him but the lady began screaming at my mother that my dog was so mean and that he bit her dog and that all he does is bark at everyone and she went on and on.(I'm not sure what kind of breed the dog is but he is 10x the size of Killer and is at least 50 pounds.. I know because the other day he had jumped on me wanting me to pet him). My mother offered to pay vet fees if she found it necessary to take her dog to the vet, but the lady just walked away huffing and puffing. So when i arrive home my mother is in tears and worried.. She is only 48 and has had a heart attack this year so it isn't good for her to stress. I went out to walk Killer and after, my mother and I sat on our porch with him and were talking. The lady comes outside with her dog and crosses the street THEN walks past our house.. I grabbed Killer and brought him in while my mother walked over to the lady and asked her if her dog was okay.. The lady didn't even LOOK at my mother and said "He's fine!" and kept walking. This lady has been my neighbor for years yet she turns her face anytime my brother and I are outside, so I know she is.. not the nicest person
lol.. Is the lady overreacting? or am I not taking this seriously enough? Yes, my dog does bark at everyone outside but isn't that a yorkie thing? Isn't it his personality as a puppy to want to play with other dogs? I've had him around other dogs and they've always just played around..
