It is horrible watching them suffer - she is now on atopica as she has atopic dermatitis which is basically airborn allergies. I tried everything - holistic vet, food elimination diets, you name it and finally i figured i had to do the drugs which i hate but nothing was working and she was miserable. We tried every antihistamine benedryl, chlora...., etc nothing worked - poor thing
she is doing better but no cured |
Hello, I just read your message and I see that your little girl is on Atopica, I have been trying to find Yorkie owners who are using this drug. My vet wants to put my little baby on it as well, she is 5 years old and weights 7 1/2 pounds. Like everyone have tried everything, the only thing that gives her relief is prednisone, I am really skeptical about this drug because of what I read on the internet about the side effects on humans, I know it is a much lower dose but it still scares me. Can you please let me know how long you have been using it , how much your dog weighs and the dosage she is on. Also, is she having any side affects at all? I know you have to give hours before of after eating, but other than that how is it. I wonder if it causes them to vomit, is it making them feel sick to their stomach all the time. Anyway I would really appreciate any information you could give me. Thank you for your time. Kathy, Lexi's Mom
