As far as potty training...there are many threads on this subject, and just as many different opinions. Here's mine; consistency! Potty training a Yorkie is not the easiest task, but it can be done. As many peopel on here will tell you.
When you took her/him out the first time did she go?? I have a new pup and a one year old and it takes a while. I take Izzie (my new puppy) out after every nap, after every meal, and after playing...and if all of those things are longer than an hour apart, I take her out again. When I do take her out I say over and over 'Izzie go potty' and I walk around the grass...it seems to help.. until she goes. When she finally...and sometimes it's a long time..I throw a party!! I make a huge deal out of it...praising and petting her. She loves it!! You also need to accept that there will be accidents. With any puppy that's part of the package But in exchange for the consistency you will eventually have a well trained puppy..and you will be very happy
