I like flexi leashes, and frequently use them even w/all 4 of my dogs at once, HOWEVER I think so many people use them irresponsibly..
You have to be on top of that leash if it isn't locked and to make sure you are adjusting it accordingly and not letting the dog get too far in front of you. Regardless of if people have a 4 lb puppy or a 140 lb puppy, it's no excuse to let them have a free for all where others are around.
But to answer the question, LOL - I like the long better, but I have both
