I've been feeding my dogs and foster dogs real food for over 50 years and have never had a problem. My dogs live very long and healthy lives. I have a Chihuahua right now who is 15 years 5 months that have never eaten anything else but "real" food and she has never had any health problems and has never been sick in her entire life!
Feed free range ground meat (cooked) ground lamb (also cooked) mixed with brown rice, lentils and split peas cooked together, drained, rinsed in cold water, then grate some carrots. Mix together and freeze in Zip loc freezer bags. Each bag should have 2 and 1/2 cups of the mixture. Give 1/4 for breakfast with some steel cut oatmeal and give some for dinner with steamed broccoli. There are many things you can quickly make and feed also. Please don't be afraid to feed your baby the best possible food, and that is "real" food.
