Well, just got off the phone with my friend. Sounds like it was a nightmare.
She had one by herself just fine. But screamed bloody murder when delivering it. Then the next one was stuck with a little of it out. Melanie and her husband rushed her to the emergency vet clinic. There they told them they were over reacting and it would come on it's own. After some time it did. I think now it's 3 or 4 am. Then contractions stopped. They then gave her the Oxy stuff and one more was born. Finally at about 7 am this morning Melanie insisted they do a c-section. Two were saved but one was dead. She told them to spay her then.
The momma dog is black. The daddy is fawn. Black is dominant and they were hoping that they would get a fawn puppy. Well, the little dead puppy was the fawn boy. Melanie is sick about the whole thing. Also exhausted.
