poor thing... i'd get another vet's opinion tomorrow.... but tonight why dont you try some vaseline, maybe some rubbing alcohol in case it got infected with the scratching.. but i'd be back at ANOTHER vet, especailly if you are not happy with the job he did.. chances are everything else is going to be like that too
