As I said earlier, After reading all the posts I got concerned and since I live in NJ I thought I'd call and see how I felt and if needed try to get Brandy out of a bad situation. Tammi is right "No one really knows what is going on in this woman's house and she does seem to be trying to find the best home for Brandy." I know when I spoke to her on the phone (And, I can only speak for my own conversation) but she was very nice with me. I do believe through my conversation that she is upset over this girl not being able to get preg. but she has a business. Unfortuanately, breeding is a business. AND, since this girl cannot produce something that will make her money she is doing what a business person would do and let go of what is not going to make her money. Like it or not that's the way it goes. I'm not saying I agree but she is doing it the right way. She's not taking her out and shooting her as some puppymills do. She is trying to find a forever home for Brandy, a home that will suit both Brandy's needs and her new owner's needs. This woman has stated that Brandy is alpha and would be better placed in a home without other dogs. I have an alpha girl and it can work but ONLY if you know for sure that NONE of your other dogs are alpha. Two alpha dogs spell trouble. She has asked for a fenced yard. Most reputable rescues ask the same. I don't know what else to say accept that I hope Brandy finds a GREAT home. Elaine |
