Welcome! You're not originally from Texas, are you? I know it's far-fetched but I used to know someone that spells her name (nickname actually) like you do and it's possible she married a military man. Just wondering.
Tatum also LOVES the hardwood floor slide. She's learned to judge exactly when she needs to stop to keep from ramming into the wall or furniture. It's entertaining to watch though!
As for the food, they say a dog will not purposely starve themselves so you might, just maybe, be getting taken by that pup! I did have to hand feed Tatum when she was new to us because I changed her food and she wasn't thrilled about it. After a couple days of hand feeding, I tried making it a chase game where I slid the food on the floor and she chased it and ate it. Then I started just giving her no other choice but to eat it out of the bowl and she did. As long as you hand feed it though, that pup will take full advantage of the situation. Good luck!
