I used a lemon juice rinse and it worked great! I shampooed first, rinsed with clear water, then rinsed with half lemon juice/ half water (warm since the lemon juice was cold from the fridge). I let the lemon juice rinse sit on him for a couple of minutes and then rinsed it off. I would be careful about his eyes, but I brushed the hair above his nose with a toothbrush and this lemon rinse. The fleas couldn't jump off fast enough!! This was right after I got him (about three weeks ago) and I have only seen one flea since. We simply repeated the rinse and I haven't seen any more.
