As with humans the rectal temp is the most accurate. You do not add or subtract. In humans, we add a degree to a temp taken under the arm. My vet told me that the temp starts to drop about 24 hours before whelping. My female's temp went from 101 to 99.8 and nothing for days , then it dropped to 98.9 and she went into labor. |
