Update on "Jack"
That's the name I've been calling him. I posted on craigslist and have received a ton of responses from people who want the dog. But, I'm not going to just turn him over to someone. I did see an ad for a missing dog, who looks just like him. I keep e-mailing them and it comes back to me as undeliverable. So, I posted a new one, which should grab their attention. I made fliers and posted them around the block, at petco, and the local dog park. I still have more to hang. I just took him to a 24-hour vet to scan for a chip. He had none. I then had him checked out. He is between 2.5-5 years old. He's not nuetered and after talking to the vet, I'm getting concerned about who his owners are. His tail is one huge mat. Even if he's been running around for a while, he just doesn't seem well taken care of. But I really don't know so I can't judge. I had him in the backyard last night and thought he'd be ok with his own little set-up in the garage. I think he fell asleep for a while, but then he started crying. So he came in and slept on my floor. Riley wouldn't let him near the bed. Then today I had to go to work and when I came home he was just standing by the back door waiting. I don't want to keep him inside with Riley when I'm not here. Riley is mean to him sometimes. This dog is 9 lbs, which is smaller than I thought. i do really like him and he is really easy going. But with my roommate's schnauzer and my yorkie, it's kinda a full house. I figure if it comes down to finding him a new home, I'm gonna make applications and have everyone come visit him first. |
