Yes, there is a point in registering even if you are not going to breed. What's the point in buying a pup from an AKC breeder, and I know, you are going to say, it's for health and keeping close to the standard, etc. Just because we don't plan on breeding, it's still a record with the AKC and it's part of our baby's heritage. We non-breeders still have pride in our baby and their heritage.
So, yes there is a point. If the paperwork was part of the agreement of the puppy's sale, we have every right to receive it and to send in a registeration.
