Our backyard gets flooded easly, I take mine ONE @ a time out front...Tif is stubbern sometimes cause she wants to chase rabbits and gets mad and WON'T go so I put her in her crate if she's being that way, then she'll give in and go finally, I also use a BIG umbrella on me and try to cover them, I know I HATE taking them out that way but we got to do what we have to do! LOL! I use old dish towels to wipe their paws on if they are soaked and keep them in the kitchen till they dry. Is he puppy pad trained? Even if not (He may use them for the time being) I know Tif was when she was a baby & then 100% outside trianed and now she's 2.5 yrs. and it's so hot here & with her due with 6 maybe 8 puppies, I've not let her out @ all & I've got puppy pads all in the living room and she's using them again and hits them! LOL! Thank goodness! Try that maybe for a few hours or until it slows down, if U don't have any then U'll have to run out in the rain and get some ...Hope this helps U! I know how U feel.
