Xena's home! YEAH. She's her normal self now. Turns out our two trips to the ER this week were unrelated. This time she had a bad reaction to Sentry flea control. I feel horrible. I thought I did enough research but turns out I didn't dig deep enough and I could have seriously injured my baby.
The chemical Permethrin, which can be in different brands of flea prevention, is extremely dangerous to some pets. I have read horror stories of Labs and Dalmatians who have died from this chemical as have many cats and small dogs.
Many people on here probably know all about it, but I missed it and wanted to warn others. I was looking at brand names and not the actual ingredients.
I have contacted the manufacturer and reported my case. They have a special number just for medical emergencies related to their products. Makes me wonder.
I will be going the natural route from now on. Thanks for all your support.
