We keep both our boys cut like that all the time. We started out having them cut like that for the summer - then they seemed to like it so much and didn't have to suffer frequent brushings to get the tangles out, so we just kept up the "short look"
We live in Texas so it is not too cold in the winter and they do just fine. If it does get cold, we put their sweaters on.
I know many of you keep your babies in gorgeous coats, and I think they are beautiful - but the "beach look" fits our boys' lifestyles so much better.
