Hey everyone,
I haven't even had time to sit down and read through everyones replies, but I just wanted to stop in to do a quick update on little Tate.
As you all know yesterday she wasn't doing too well as she didn't eat hardly anything. I FINALLY got her to eat a little bit of cottage cheese last night before we went to bed, but not much.
This morning when we woke up, it seemed like she was feeling a little better, and then a few hours later she threw up some, I'm thinking it is because she just isn't getting enough food. SO, today I decided that I HAD to start syringe feeding her. I did and she accepted quite a bit of it and then ate a little more cottage cheese on her own (right now she seems to be eating the cottage cheese more than anything else). Then, just a little while ago, she went and ate a *few* pieces of hard dog food on her own whenever she saw Stedman eating. It made me feel SO GOOD to see her eating on her own - and HARD FOOD at that!
However, she still isn't 100% better, and she's still not eating like she should be, but she doesn't seem to be in quite as much pain. I will continue to try and get her to eat on her own and if she doesn't, I will continue to syringe feed her. If she doesn't do a 360 by Monday (which at this point I am kind of doubting) then I will definitely be taking her back to the vet.
I have got to run to the store to get some more cottage cheese for her as I am out, and that seems to be the MAIN thing shes interested in right now....so whatever she wants to eat is fine with me. Just ANYTHING to get some food in her stomach and keep her strength up.
