Sounds like you are going through exactly what I'm going through I have Bella who is one and I just brought home a 12 week old Biewer puppy. I thought Bella needed someone to play with....
I brought Izzie home yesterday and so far she barely looks at Bella. Bella just stays back and trys to sniff her. No growling though.
I think it just takes time
