[NODAK]

I absolutely love having a backyard with woods...there is no possibility of ever having neighbors back there, because it's school property....but there's a few blocks worth of woods between us and the school. So here we are...in the south....and this is what we have seen and know:

- Our dog has had 2 ticks in the last 3 days. The last one was ENGORGED in blood. It reminded me of a tick I had when I was a kid...just absolutely huge and disgusting.

- This area is ripe with snakes...including the poisonous copperheads and water moccasins.

- Heidi already saw a huge dog running loose in the woods behind our house.

- There are common deer sightings in our backyard.

I tell ya what...it's a jungle back there....yet, it's where the dog needs to go to eliminate...I gotta tell ya, I don't even like taking him back there b/c I despise snakes so much...and ticks aren't among my favorite either.

Anybody else have a problem like this??
