We have this beautiful red bud tree in my backyard. Earlier this morning I let my babies out to go potty like usual. All of a sudden Elle goes by the tree, like normal again, and all of a sudden these birds start swooping down at Elle, and trying to attack her. One got right by her head. I ran over to protect her, and they are going crazy. There was like 4 of them.
I picked up my babies and put them inside and went back over by the tree. I noticed that there was a baby bird on the ground that they were protecting. I'm not sure if it was alive at the time but it is now dead. I think it may have fallen from the tree at the time of the attack cause I noticed something fall, but I just thought it was a swoop of the birds.
I'm to the point where that tree is probably going to get cut down this fall. We are tired of it. There are sooooo many nests in there that half of our yard is off limits.
Attacking my babies put me over the edge.
Has anyone else had any similar problems?
