My vet recommended these for getting rid of live fleas within the hour. I don't know if having some on hand might be helpful to you. This is just a quick fix/emergency treatment. A lot of the vets in my area give pets one when getting groomed or boarded. I have not heard any negative comments on the Capstar pill. Maybe someone at YT can give us both more info.
