Same here! My vet actually recommended it, and it does work!
I still wash Jake's face in the morning and at night with a warm wash cloth. He actually seems to like it, I think it feels good to him. I just hold him in my arms and talk to him quietly. He lays really still and lets me wash his face. The best time to do it is when they're sleepy. Seems to relax him even more at night. After I wash his face, he goes straight to the bedroom because he knows the routine.
